Art Imitates Life

Ok, this is a very depressing post. First, read this story in the Onion. The Onion, for thoughs of you not in the know, is a new satire site. It's very funny, and all the stuff is made up.

Now read this.

Some people are just a waste of life.

Did I mention the social control factor in the form of ignorance?

Leanring how to fight is such a worthwhile education for a three year old. - Slug 'em over that juice box son, you know you wanna. And when your done, rip the stuffing out of that there "Tinky-winky" doll.

I about cried when I read that second story. That story raised way too many issues for me to get into here as decent human being, let alone a parent.

I get upset when Abby bumps her head or pinches a finger: I cannot in a million years imagine how messed up in the head I would have to be to do that to any child, let alone my own, or how messed up Michelle would have to be to let me do it.

I'm not generally in favor of the death penalty, but that son-of-a-!@#$% should fry.

yeah, a week or two after my son was born I had to trim his fingernails. Someone had given me one of those fingernail clippers w/ the plastic white safety thing so you couldn't get too far past the nail. Most cumbersome POS ever made. Anyway, I was trimming his nails while he slept. He flinched. I got a part of his finger and he bled. His little face contorted and he cried out in his sleep, never waking of course ( takes after me) I wept as if I had mortally wounded my son. Ah, pillar of strength, I know. Vowed to never cut his nails again (till they felt like cats claws on my arms) Gave up on the vow, but I will never forget that day. But after reading about this, I can think of a good use for those nail clippers >:-).

Trust me, trimming their nails is far better than letting them grow and having your baby scratch themselves. Baby 'claws' get pretty sharp.

Yeah, babies are like mini Edward Scissorhands. Never got to that point though. He never hurt himself, but darn if he didn't get me a few times.
